Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 13400 Northwest Freeway (U.S. Highway 290) about 2:20 a.m. on Saturday (Feb. 29).
The identities of the two deceased men are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Rose and Officer F. Flynn reported:
A GMC Sierra pickup truck was traveling the wrong way in the northbound lanes of the Northwest Freeway at the above address when the truck struck head-on a white Toyota Corolla, causing both vehicles to roll over.
Paramedics pronounced the driver, 26, of the Toyota, deceased at the scene. The at-fault driver, 25, of the GMC, was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
The investigation is continuing.
