HOUSTON - The Coastal Water Authority will make an emergency repair to fix a leak on a large 9-foot (108-inch) water line starting at 3PM, Saturday, May 30. The water line transfers raw water from the Lynchburg Reservoir to the City of Houston’s East Water Purification Plant.
The repair may take up to 12 hours to complete. Parts of the City may experience lower than normal water pressure. Houston Public Works asks the community to help conserve water Saturday afternoon (reduce water usage, turn off sprinklers, avoid watering outdoors and washing cars). These small actions will help maintain water pressure in the system during the emergency repair.
