Individual Arrested and Charged for Attempted Arson of a Habitation
HFD Arson Investigators stated that the defendant (Powell) poured lighter fluid inside a residence and attempted to light a fire with a handheld lighter. The residence was occupied at the time with two adults and four children inside. The offense occurred on April 7, 2020, at 12:10 at 11115 Rubin Street.
Warrants were obtained for the defendant (Powell) by HFD Arson Investigator Culpepper for Attempted Arson of a Habitation (Felony) with a $50,000 bond in the 180th court and a Violation of a Protective Order (Misdemeanor) with No Bond in the 6th court. Powell had three additional open warrants at the time of his arrest for Aggravated Assault of a Family Member ($50,000 bond/180th Court); Felon in Possession of Weapon ($20,000 bond/180th Court) and Assault of a Family Member Impeding Breath ($40,000 bond/180th Court).
